Family Support Services of the Bay Area (FSSBA) is a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. FSSBA incorporated in 1989 and began providing services on January 1, 1990. Our mission is to help caregivers nurture their children and keep their families intact. Families Served (2006-2007)
Respite: Over 1,400 children (600+ families) received over 90,000 hours of care.
Family Preservation: Over 191 families received over 16,750 hours of services helping over 400 children.
Kinship: Over 500 families received information, referrals or crisis management. Over 250 families received over 16,000 hours of services.
Kinship Youth : More than 280 youth activities were provided totaling over 1,000 hours for 128 youth.
OreMi Mentoring: 40 mentor/mentee matches were made. Mentors were provided with 300 hours of training.
